Evan Ulbricht

Evan is a Clinical Nurse Consultant specialising in Tuberculosis (TB). Evan has worked overseas in China doing humanitarian work in TB and now lives and works in Sydney doing TB and BCG vaccination work. He has been working in the TB space for almost 20 years.

Evan has trained health care workers in the specialised intra-dermal technique of BCG vaccination, including:

  • Doctors and nurses at Westmead Children's hospital

  • Staff in Westmead, RPA and RNS hospitals

  • Parramatta Chest Clinic staff

  • Staff in many NSW Health BCG vaccination clinics

  • Health care workers from almost every state around Australia

Evan designed the only course that exists in Australia for BCG vaccination - the Tuberculosis management course at the Australian College of Nursing. He speaks fluent Mandarin, German and English.

Ahmad Ghafoor

Ahmad is a TB Clinical Nurse Specialist. His passion for TB grew during his time working in Westmead Hospital's busy Medical High Dependency Unit, where he was providing care and treatment for critically unwell TB patients. Ahmad has now been working in the busiest NSW Health TB clinic (Parramatta Chest Clinic) and has been providing BCG vaccination for over 5 years now. He is highly experienced in the specialised intra-dermal technique BCG vaccination requires and has trained and educated staff at the Parramatta Chest Clinic. His skill and technique in BCG vaccination is second to none. Many of the more difficult cases that arise in the TB clinic, Ahmad handles with ease and confidence. He has delivered BCG presentations to TB nurses around NSW and to the staff at Parramatta Chest Clinic, including a presentation of the updated NSW Health BCG Guidelines. Ahmad speaks fluent Dari / Farsi and English and always instils great trust in his patients, making them naturally feel at ease.

We can see patients from anywhere in NSW & Sydney regions, including patients from Parramatta, Blacktown, Penrith / Nepean, Cumberland / Auburn, Liverpool, Hornsby, Royal North Shore / Northern Beaches, Eastern Suburbs, St George, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Sutherland, Wollongong, Central Coast, Sydney City (CBD), Far West, Hunter New England and Murrumbidgee regions.
