Service Description
All staff members at the BCG Vaccine Clinic are highly experienced in the Tuberculosis (TB) specialty and are authorised immunisers with complete BCG accreditation. Important information regarding your BCG vaccination appointment:​ 1) A Tuberculosis (TB) consultation/assessment will be undertaken to ensure it is safe to proceed with BCG vaccination. 2) The person receiving BCG immunisation will need to stay nearby for 15 minutes after vaccine administration. 3) Altogether, we will have you in and out of the clinic in less than 30 minutes and be well protected against TB for the journey ahead. PARKING and PUBLIC TRANSPORT: 1) There are many free parking spaces nearby. 2) We are situated only a few minutes walking distance to local train / light rail stations. PAYMENT/FEE: 1) The current fee is $175 (total cost), which is required to be paid online in full to confirm your appointment/booking. 2) In the event of an appointment cancellation or no-show, your booking fee will be refunded, less a $75 non-refundable fee. 3) Please contact us on (02) 8529 4086 or email info@bcgvaccine.com.au if you wish to reschedule your appointment (free of charge). OTHER VACCINATIONS: 1) Other LIVE (INJECTED) vaccines, such as the 12-month and 18-month scheduled vaccinations, as well as Yellow Fever and Japanese Encephalitis (Imojev) vaccinations, should be given on the same day as the BCG vaccine OR separated by a period of at least 4 weeks. 2) The 6-week and 4-month oral live vaccines do not need consideration, as they will not interfere with the BCG vaccine. 3) If the person receiving BCG vaccination has had a live (injected) vaccine within 4 weeks of their BCG vaccine appointment, please contact us to discuss further. DOCUMENTATION: 1) Feel free to bring your child's vaccination record (My Health and Development Record - "Blue Book") for staff to document in. 2) The BCG vaccination will be entered into the Medicare Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) - please allow up to 48 hours for this. RECEIPT: 1) A detailed receipt will automatically be emailed to you within 48 hours after the BCG vaccination appointment time - please ensure you check your junk/spam folder.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to reschedule or cancel your BCG vaccination appointment, please let us know as soon as possible by contacting the BCG Vaccine Clinic via email or phone: Email - info@bcgvaccine.com.au; Phone - (02) 8529 4086. Appointment rescheduling / cancellation is required in the following instances: 1) If the person receiving Tuberculosis (TB) immunisation has had a fever of >38.5 degrees Celsius within one week of their BCG vaccine appointment date or on the day of their appointment (NB: it is safe to proceed with BCG vaccination in the event of mild unwellness). 2)Â If the person receiving BCG immunisation has had a live (injected) vaccine within four weeks of their scheduled appointment date. PLEASE NOTE: 1) In the event of an appointment cancellation or no-show, your booking fee will be refunded, less a $75 non-refundable fee. 2) Please contact us on (02) 8529 4086 or email info@bcgvaccine.com.au if you wish to reschedule your appointment (free of charge). 3) Clinics may be subject to cancellation at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice - possible reasons for cancellation include, but are not limited to, staff availability, stock availability, facility issues, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (full refund of $175 booking fee will be offered in such instances).
